There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays

Posted on December 16, 2015

One of the most common refrains this time of year, no matter your observance, is “There’s no place like home for the holidays.”

Sadly, thousands of people living with serious mental illness don’t have a home to go to. They are living on the street, completely isolated from vital services that can put them back on the road to mental health. They are alone, without family, friends, or a community of people to love them. But you can change that.

One of our members, Robin, at Fountain House

At Fountain House, we know that stable and supportive housing provide the keys to mental health. And one of our generous donors knows it, too. Between now and December 31, all donations up to $50,000 will be matched dollar-for-dollar. Please give today. When you do, your donation will be doubled!

Becoming mentally healthy requires a stable and safe home, and that means more than just a place to live. We operate one of the largest supportive housing networks in New York, serving over 1,300 members every year. And of course, we also provide a working and loving community to hundreds of people at Fountain House every day.

Your support gives members everything they need to live safely and independently. And nowyou can go twice as far in offering housing, independence, stability, and a loving community to the people who need us most.

Thank you in advance for any support you can offer—you hold the keys to mental health.
