rudyard-propst.jpgrudyard-propst.jpgIt is with deep sorrow we announce that Rudyard Propst, a great figure in the history of Fountain House, passed away last night.

Rudyard was pivotal in the worldwide development of community mental health programs. He served as the Director of Education and Training at Fountain House from 1980 until his retirement in 1995. In the last years of his tenure, he also took on the role as the Executive Director of the International Center for Clubhouse Development (ICCD).

Rudyard designed the Fountain House training program, which continues to this day. He was the driving force in expanding the scope of Fountain House and the ICCD internationally. He was a charismatic speaker and a tireless worker on behalf of people with mental illness around the world.

He will be dearly missed by many in the global community of clubhouses and especially by those of us here at Fountain House.
