The Association Cap’cités was created in April 2010 to support the project of the first Clubhouse in France. It should open in autumn 2011 in the center of Paris. If all goes well, we will have 50 members at the end of the year.

Some members are already involved, and the first team had the opportunity to attend three-week training at Fountain House this past June.

It’s a big challenge to bring the Clubhouse model to France. Actually, the project is affected by the pervasive cultural stigma, and it is difficult to find support and donors because mental illness is still very taboo in France.

If you would like to support the first French clubhouse please write us or talk about it to people around you.
